MyOwnPet Balloons teams up with Canines for Disabled Kids!

MyOwnPet Balloons are adorable for almost any occasion! But what if you could surprise a special someone with a MyOwnPet Balloon, AND help children with disabilities get connected to the service animals that they desperately need?

At least one percent of the 52 million Americans with disabilities use service animals. Right now, the demand is greater than the supply, and most of those in need are put on a waiting list for up to 10 years!

"Canines for Disabled Kids (CDK) is a non-profit organization connecting children with disabilities to canine-assistance programs and resources. The CDK mission is twofold, first, to help families with disabled children obtain service dogs through education, financial aid and advocacy and second, to make families aware that these resources even exist."

What can you do to help?

For every MyOwnPet balloon purchased here, $5 will go directly to help Canines for Disabled Kids.

So head on over and order up a MyOwnPet Balloon for someone special!

Check out these cute options!

Visit http://www.caninesfordkids.org for additional details. Or you can donate directly to Canines for Disabled Kids and help them get one step closer to connecting a loyal companion to a child in need!

Money tight this holiday season? flipflop Wines fits any budget!

flipflop philosophy~~~~

"People have a personal attachment to their favorite pair of flip flops, their favorite food, and to their favorite wine style. We crafted seven different varieties that allow each wine lover to discover their favorite. That's the spirit of our philosophy - 'to each, their own.'"

flipflop wines are flavorful, diverse, incredibly priced, and socially conscious! Their wines come in a wide variety from Chardonnay and Pinot Grigio, to Moscato and Sweet Red! And their prices are incredible. All wines are only $7.00 per bottle! That fits into almost any budget, even during the holidays!

But best of all, flipflop wines are socially conscious. In 2011, they have partnered with Souls4Souls to provide footwear to barefooted children around the world! Check out Souls4Souls site for more info on all of their humanitarian efforts.

Thanks to the generosity of flipflop wines, I was sent 3 different wines to try out. First up was the Cabernet Sauvignon.

Tastes like: Full-bodies, Cabernet Sauvignon with blackberry fruit, dark cherries, and a long lingering finish
It is full of: Black pepper notes and berry aromas
Eat with: New York Strip steak, spinach ravioli or Portobello mushrooms

The first word that comes to mind for the Cabernet Sauvignon - crisp! It is solid and sweet, but a bit tart as well. A nice blend!

Next up, Merlot.

Tastes like: Medium-bodies, silky Merlot with plum and mocha notes, soft tannins and a balanced, luscious finish
It is full of: Jammy aromas and soft tannins
Eat with: Texas chili, black & blue sliders or cheddar cheese broccoli

This one was very sweet, and light. I enjoyed it with a big 'ol juicy burger! I don't normally drink wine with my burger, but it was a very nice accompaniment. Later I added a few pieces of frozen pineapples. It added a bit of sour to the sweet and was perfect! Yum!

And last but not least, good old reliable Chardonnay!

Tastes like: Medium-bodied, Chardonnay with pineapple, soft vanilla and a long lingering finish
It is full of: Creamy, toasted oak notes
Eat with: Wood-fired Neapolitan pizza, mac & cheese, or a chicken Ceaser salad

This one was just what I expected. Nice and light, fruity, perfect with light meals. I added it to our vegetarian night and it paired perfectly!

You can purchase online at Underdog Wine & Spirits.

Thanks again to flipflop wines for providing me with the wine to review!

Check out my review of flipflop's Riesling, Pinot Grigio, and Pinot Noir.

I was contacted to give flipflop wines a try, and was sent 3 bottles, free of charge, to facilitate the review.  All opinions are my own and I was not influenced in any way for my review. Please see my complete Disclosure/Acknowledgement Policy HERE.

Burt's Bees Natural Skin Solutions Sensitive Line #review #imabzzagent

I have sensitive skin. Sometimes it can be such a bummer. I find a product I want to try out, take it home, slather it on, enjoy. Next day, wake up to a horrid rash and suffer it out for the next few days! I've struggled to find products that I can use that work, and that don't give me carnival sideshow skin!

Are you with me? Worry no more! Burt's Bees has been a leader in natural products and they're sensitive skin products are soap-free and fragrance-free and hypoallergenic!

First up, Burt's Bees Natural Skin Solutions Sensitive Facial Cleanser.

"This soap-free cream cleanser is clinically proven to moisturize sensitive skin while gently cleansing away dirt, oil and makeup without over drying or causing redness or irritiation. Distinctly formulated with Cotton Extract to soften, Rice Extract to moisturize, and Aloe to sooth."

I really enjoyed this cleanser, and I've tried a lot of different ones. It has a nice smooth texture. It's creamy, and comes to a nice lather. It's completely fragrance and color free. I did find it a bit hard to rinse off, but overall it cleansed thoroughly and I had no reactions at all - except cleaner skin!

The next step in my beauty regimen is to moisturize! With long, cold winters here in Minnesota, my skin gets extra dry. I've tried a lot of moisturizers and generally I either break out in a rash, or I end up breaking out in pimples! No fun!

Next up, Burt's Bees Natural Skin Solutions Sensitive Daily Moisturizing Cream.

"This nourishing day cream is clinically proven to moisturize sensitive skin all day without causing redness or irritation. Distinctly formulated with Cotton Extract to soften, Rice Extract to moisturize, and Aloe to sooth. Naturally gentle and skin friendly for daily use."

This stuff is crazy good! It's a nice, light cream. It didn't leave my skin feeling heavy or oily. It is a soothing, gentle moisturizer. I highly recommend this product for anyone who has suffered from skin reactions due to over- or under-moisturized skin. Also fragrance free, hypo-allergenic, allergy and dermatologist tested!

No more crazy reactions! No more rashes! No more breakouts!

I am a true believer is using products that are good for you. Burt's Bees has made sure their products, including the Sensitive Skin line, is not only good for you, but safe for you as well!

Burt's Bees Natural Skin Solutions for Sensitive Skin gets two thumbs up from me!

Head over the the Burt's Bees site for information on all of their products. And right now, you can print a $2.00 coupon for any Burt's Bees Sensitive product!

I'm a BzzAgent, and was sent Burt's Bees Natural Skin Solutions Sensitive facial cleanser and daily moisturizing cream for review, free of charge. Opinions are my own and were not influenced in any way. Please read my full disclosure policy here.

Kirkland's Santa Stocking Holder Review and #Giveaway Ends 11/26

This may be a scary thought, but Christmas is coming. It's lurking around every corner in stores. Believe it or not, there are only 51 days til Christmas! 51! Eek! My shopping hasn't started yet (yes I know) but the ideas for decorating this year have already began!

I was recently contacted by Kirkland's to review their Santa Stocking Holder. It's a simple idea for a complicated issue!
I have a fireplace, but it doesn't have a mantle of any kind. It's stone all the way up. It's impossible to hang anything from it, like stockings. Kirkland's Santa Stocking Holder is perfect! It is a simple metal construction (which took me about 30 seconds to assemble with no tools!) in an Espresso finish. It's actually very dark in color, and mixes in with my black and white decor easily. It has a cute Santa's sleigh silhouette design, and can hold up to 5 stockings (but you could easily add more if you added more hooks!). It measures 37"L x 11"W x 39.5"H. It fits perfectly in front of a standard sized fireplace!

Sorry mine doesn't have any stockings on it yet, they are still packed away in hopes that it will slow down that creeping Christmas shopping anxiety!

Kirkland's Santa Stocking Holder retails for $24.99, but I bet you'd like the chance to win one for yourself! Kirkland's is offering one of my lucky readers a Santa Stocking Holder for themselves!

Please read Kirkland's contest rules thoroughly before entering.

Kirkland's provided me with the free product, information, and are providing the giveaway item. All opinions are my own. Please see my complete Disclosure/Acknowledgement Policy HERE.
