Thanks to the generosity of flipflop wines, I was sent 3 different wines to try out. First up was the Cabernet Sauvignon.

Tastes like: Full-bodies, Cabernet Sauvignon with blackberry fruit, dark cherries, and a long lingering finish
It is full of: Black pepper notes and berry aromas
Eat with: New York Strip steak, spinach ravioli or Portobello mushrooms

The first word that comes to mind for the Cabernet Sauvignon - crisp! It is solid and sweet, but a bit tart as well. A nice blend!

Next up, Merlot.

Tastes like: Medium-bodies, silky Merlot with plum and mocha notes, soft tannins and a balanced, luscious finish

This one was very sweet, and light. I enjoyed it with a big 'ol juicy burger! I don't normally drink wine with my burger, but it was a very nice accompaniment. Later I added a few pieces of frozen pineapples. It added a bit of sour to the sweet and was perfect! Yum!

Kirkland's Santa Stocking Holder Review and #Giveaway Ends 11/26

This may be a scary thought, but Christmas is coming. It's lurking around every corner in stores. Believe it or not, there are only 51 days til Christmas! 51! Eek! My shopping hasn't started yet (yes I know) but the ideas for decorating this year have already began!

I was recently contacted by Kirkland's to review their Santa Stocking Holder. It's a simple idea for a complicated issue!

I have a fireplace, but it doesn't have a mantle of any kind. It's stone all the way up. It's impossible to hang anything from it, like stockings. Kirkland's Santa Stocking Holder is perfect! It is a simple metal construction (which took me about 30 seconds to assemble with no tools!) in an Espresso finish. It's actually very dark in color, and mixes in with my black and white decor easily. It has a cute Santa's sleigh silhouette design, and can hold up to 5 stockings (but you could easily add more if you added more hooks!). It measures 37"L x 11"W x 39.5"H. It fits perfectly in front of a standard sized fireplace!

KY Intimacy Experiment - Day 10

Day 10: All together, now!

Day 10 is focused on utilizing all the tools that you've learned throughout the experiment.

Start your day off with a good, long hug and a kiss.

Get back to being modest. Shut the bathroom door, clip your toenails in private, being back some of that mystery you had in the beginning of your relationship.

Focus on touching each other as much as possible. Help him get his stuff ready for work. A foot massage while you catch up on the newest Jersey Shore. Another hug and kiss, possibly!

Don't go all day without thinking about each other. Send a quick email or text, or maybe a quick phone call to just say hello, or maybe share how your day is going. Maybe make a few suggestions as to what that night might bring!

When you get back together in the evening, get right back into touching and feeling. Help each other prepare or clean up dinner. Sit next to each other on the couch while watching TV. Maybe a quick neck or foot massage!

Maybe get out of the house for date night! Role play? Maybe! And you don't have to go anywhere to do it, spend an evening in, but ditch those kiddos! :) Focus on each other.

That's truly what this experiment is all about. Find time for your partner. Focus on each other. With our busy lives, it's hard to find time for a massage, or a sudsy bubble bath together. But intimacy is a vital part of any relationship, and should be a priority in your daily lives. You choose your partner because you want to be with them, they make you feel good. Let them know! Don't keep your feelings to yourself. Share your fantasies. Explore new things, together!

The KY Intimacy Experiment was an eye opener for me and my husband. It was hard to look at how little we touched, how little we talked, how little we made time for each other. The experiment definitely brought us closer together. It will take work to maintain a healthy sexual relationship, but no one said it would be easy! KY Intimacy Experiment - Day 9

Day 9: Fast and furious!

Day 9 is about getting your adrenaline pumping, together. Find an activity that gets your heart pumping. Trying hiking, rollerblading, horseback riding, taking on some roller coasters, or maybe even sky diving! My hubs and I actually trekked out in the woods to where he deer hunts. That way we could get a good workout in, he could check his deer stand, and I could see where it was that he sits for hours at a time! We talked along the way and spent a good hour together!

Night 9 keeps your adrenaline pumping with fun activities! If you're up for it, you can give some restraints a try, maybe some sexy hide and seek, or maybe just a blindfold! Sensory deprivation forces you to focus on the sounds around you and the touch you are feeling. This was a no-brainer for us. The blindfold works incredibly! Somehow, not being able to see makes you feel so much more comfortable with each other, as well as focusing solely on the touches and feelings!

KY Intimacy Experiment - Day 8

Day 8: Yummy in my tummy (and other places too)!

Day 8 rocks for me! I'm the homemaker, which means I'm also the chef in our house. My husband cooks about 3 times a year! The exercise for today is to cook together! Yay! You are to choose a meal that you can cook together, something libido-boosting (oysters, chocolate, etc.). I don't eat fish, so oysters are out for me. But I'm all about chocolate! We decided to make a pasta dish with some spicy meatballs (spicy foods can also get things kicking!). And finish it off with some chocolate cake. Then we just sat down and enjoyed each others company, while enjoying the meal we created together. It was a nice experience to share the responsibility together, then share the spoils together. And by the time we were finished eating, it was hard to keep that chocolate frosting on the cake where it belonged! ;)

And leave room for 'dessert'! The Night 8 exercise is about bringing some of that flavor into the bedroom. Starting with some gentle kisses. Kiss in places that make you closer to your partner. And if desired, add a little flavor! KY sent me their Kissable Sensations product to help out with this one. The package comes with two flavors, decadent chocolate and refreshing strawberry! We chose what worked best for us and spent a little time 'tasting' each other! Generally, this is enough for us. Sex isn't always about intercourse, and to keep from getting bored by the same old routines, it's fun to experiment with alternatives!

Day 7 Exercise: Lost in your love map?

Sometimes we keep our mouths shut. Sometimes we just want to please our partner. But your individual needs are a key part of making a relationship last. Knowing your unique 'love map', the memories, experiences, and fantasies that you desire, will make your love making more comfortable, as well as more productive!

The exercise for Day 7 requires you to write down what turns you on. Make a list of the things you fantasize about, the things that never fail to get your motor running, and experiences you've had that you wish you could recreate! This was a bit tough for me. I knew what I wanted to put on my list, but I wasn't sure about sharing some of those thoughts with my husband. Some I thought were embarrassing, some I thought he'd never go for, and some I thought might even make him feel uncomfortable. But that's part of the challenge - being honest about what really works for you. Don't be scared to share. Your partner is more than likely ready and willing to do what it takes to please you sexually. I know my husband made his list in about 5 minutes and it was long! rofl...

It's Night 7. Time to share. Yikes! It was time to share our fantasies. Being honest about what we like, what we don't like, and what we wish we could try. My husband thoroughly supported everything on my list, making me feel much more comfortable about giving some of them a try! His list was a little scary for me, but I have to admit, some of them turned me on too! And they're things I'd never thought about before. It was a great exercise in opening up to your partner and trying some new things you may have been too embarrassed to ask for!

I love that Night 7 is all about being brutally honest. Something we just don't do enough!

KY Intimacy Experiment - Day 6

Day 6 Exercise: The magic touch!

Day 6 is about getting touchy feely. It doesn't always have to be sexual, just touch. When's the last time you and your partner touched, outside of the bedroom? Hug, hold hands, cuddle while watching TV, play footsie under the table at dinner, a quick foot or neck massage. The goal is to make an effort to touch, in some way, at least 10 times.

Night 6 is massage night! The exercise for tonight is to take turns giving an erotic massage! I'm a big

KY Intimacy Experiment - Day 5

Day 5 Exercise: Bring out your competitive side!

The exercise today is to find an activity that you can do together. Something new. Something different. Something that can bring you closer together. As I've said before, my husband works long hours so we don't spend a ton of time together. Lunch together is almost non existent! So for our activity, we decided to make time for lunch together. I packed up a nice picnic lunch and we met at our local park for a nice, quiet, kid-free meal together. It was really nice to catch up and to just focus on each other. No worrying about who's not eating their food, or trying to keep an eye on kids on the playground. Just us. It was nice!

The exercise for Night 5, is a fun one! They actually suggest a poker based card game. You get a deck of cards and a stack of blank index cards. The you split the index cards in half and in half again. On half of the cards, you write down the most sensitive areas of your body. On the other half, you write down a method of touch that makes you weak. Then you just play poker. Winner gets to choose a card from each pile! It was fun! I think you could really change up the game and put whatever you'd like on the cards. A chore that you want your partner to help with, a request for a foot rub or massage, anything that can bring you closer together!

Day 4 Exercise: Too comfortable with each other?

Do you leave the bathroom door open? Leave dirty socks on the floor? Clip your toenails in front of your partner? Maybe wax your mustache in front of them too?

We are all guilty of getting comfortable in a relationship. Maybe too comfortable! Day 4 challenge was to make lists of some of the things that we do in front of our partner, that we would've NEVER done in the first weeks or months of our relationship. It was a bit funny to think of how I'd never eat in front of him because I didn't want him to think I was a pig. I'd starve all night long, saying I ate beforehand. Then I'd go home at the end of the night a stuff my face! Oh the crazy things we do because we think someone will like us more!

Night 4 of the experiment was SUPER tough! Sometimes we get a bit too comfortable in our relationship. Other times, we may get more skittish. For instance, since we've met, I've had two kids. I smoked, quit smoking, smoked, quit smoking, gained weight, lost weight, gained weight, lost weight - you get the picture. My body isn't what it once was. And I get self conscious about it, as do a lot of couples as they get older. Night 4 was about getting comfortable in your own skin. Literally! It was babysitter time again, this time at a neighbors. The challenge was to strip down. Yep, all the way down. Then go about our business together, without clothes! We ate dinner. We folded a load of laundry. And then we sat down for a little TV.

Once you get past being self conscious, you get more and more comfortable just being together that way. And I'm telling you, it is hard to get anything done when you are in your birthday suit! We were easily distracted (if you know what I mean!)!

This exercise gets 4 thumbs up from us! Get naked people! It's for a good cause!

KY Intimacy Experiment - Day 3

Day 3 Exercise: Remember what it was like in the beginning!

Day 3 of the experiment is about getting back to the root of what brought you together in the first place. We were to make lists of what attracted us to each other in the beginning. What was it that made things so hot and steamy. And where did that go?

Making the lists was a bit tough. And hearing his list was even tougher. It's hard to hear the things that used to attract you to each other, qualities that maybe you don't have after 16 years. We found that instead of saying "I used to love this about you, but not anymore.", we would say, "I used to love this about you, but now I love this even more!" It was a much better experience that way.

The exercise for Night 3 was a little intimidating. We were to meet for the first time. Yep, you read right. We headed out to a local restaurant/bar separately. We had even dressed in clothes that we considered our "fishing for dates" outfits! Dressing up made me feel more confident and sexier than I would've in my jeans and sweatshirt I would've worn if we had just gone out for dinner! :)

We sat separately - me at a table, him at the bar. Then we pretended to see each other for the first time and decide how we would "pick each other up" as if we didn't know each other. It was very scary for me! I met my husband when I was 15, so I don't have experience picking up guys in bars! We met in a grocery store! Same goes for him, so it was a little awkward, even though we knew we were pretending. He came over to my table and asked if he could sit down. He bought me a drink. We chit-chatted a bit, and then ended up having dinner together. It was fun to pretend not to know each other. To hear us talk about ourselves like we don't know the answers to the questions already. My husband was on the ball that night, and I can say for certain that even if I didn't know him, he still could've picked me up! He was such a charmer! I won't say where things went from there, but I'll just say that the babysitter had to stay a little bit later than expected! ;)

I fully approve this challenge! It was a great way to see what it was that attracted you to each other in the first place. And it was fun to pretend it was the first time all over again!

KY Intimacy Experiment - Day 2

Day 2 Exercise: Bring back that lovin' feeling!

Day 2 is all about touch. And not just in the bedroom. Couples who are comfortable with each other, tend not to feel a need to be physically close to their partner, unless some shagging is involved. Truth is, as humans we crave that touch. That feeling of intimacy. That feeling of security. And without it, it's tough to switch those feelings on for a half hour in the bedroom.

KY calls this "transferable desire". The act of touch, or just being close, can bring feelings of comfort, as well as sensuality. Hubs and I decided to hold hands when we went for a walk after dinner. It was strange at first, since we hadn't held hands in quite a few years. But it was nice to just feel his skin next to mind, without a pressure for "sexy results" as Homer Simpson would put it! :o

We also sat next to each other on the couch, watching the lastest X Factor (love that Simon!), which is something we NEVER do! We have our spots in the living room. Me on the recliner, him laying on the couch. That's our routine. That's what we're comfortable with. That's what comes with 16 years of watching TV together! But it felt good to have him close to me. We didn't have to touch. Just being that close brought feelings of happiness and, I'll admit, a little sexual spark too!

The exercise for Night #2, was to focus on intimacy, physically and emotionally. One challenge was to hug. For a long time! Hug until it doesn't feel uncomfortable anymore. And once comfortable in each others arms, focus on eye contact. Maintain eye contact throughout your "bedtime" activities, forcing yourself to be fully in the moment. Focusing fully on my partner made me feel uncomfortable and awkward at first, but truly, in the end, I felt a much closer to him. And I enjoyed the look in his eyes, staring right back into mine. It was very romantic!

KY Intimacy Experiment - Day 1

So, if you didn't see my last post, my husband and I began the KY Intimacy Experiment! It's Day 1 and we are just getting started!

Day 1 Exercise: Make your bedroom and oasis!

The first day of the experiment was to focus on the bedroom. Piles of laundry on the floor? Kids toys? Pets in the bed? Book or remote within reach? All of these things are distractions. It's hard to get in the mood when you are looking at a pile of laundry that needs to be folded and put away. Or if you have to shoo Rover off the bed to make room. KY suggests clearing your bedroom of anything that doesn't revolve around sleep and/or passion. Get the TV outta there, or at least hide the remote! Don't worry, Conan will still be on the DVR for later... :) Ellen's new book you can't wait to read? Shelf it for a bit. It'll be there even when your relationship is rockin!

I hate to admit that this was my bedroom before:

Yikes! Notice the laundry. The books. Remotes. Empty water bottles that needed to be tossed. My bedroom was more like a dumping ground, than an oasis. All the things that KY experts say puts a damper on your mood.

And here's my bedroom after:

I cleared everything out, cleaned it up, and added a few touches to spice it up. A massage candle by the bedside. Fresh, clean sheets and blankets. No laundry. No toys. No clutter. Just a clean, calm space that I can fully relax in! KY also suggest painting or decorating in cool, calming colors like blues and greens. But also adding touches of red and pink to get your senses awake. I don't have a budget to spend on extras like that, but I did pull out my red undies for the occasion!

I'm not going to go into details (trying to keep it clean), but I must say that when your environment is clear of clutter, your brain can be clear of clutter too. Hubs and I were able to chill and relax, and not worry about the stuff that needed to be done! Our minds were fully focused on the task at hand! :)

KY Intimacy Experiment

Alright, people. I don't generally do this. I'm not one to talk about (or put into many, many words and photos on my public blog!) my sex life. So don't worry, I'll keep it clean!

My husband and I have been together for 16 years, married for 10. It's been a long road together. 2 kids, 4 houses, 2 businesses, jobs, not-so-much jobs, bills, bills, bills...

You get the drift. Not only time, but lots of stress and distraction, can take a toll on the healthiest of relationships. Ours was not an exception! My husband and I run a small business. I do the bookkeeping, he does the labor. Luckily for me, the job allows me to be at home with my kids, taking care of the house and all of our finances, while my husband is out busting his butt every day to make some hard earned dough. Unfortunately, that means some long hours for him. He generally leaves the house around 7am, returning home around 8pm. Then he's usually beat. He eats dinner, showers, and hits the hay. This doesn't leave a lot of time for bedtime shenanigans!

Cars 2: The Video Game for Wii Party! #review #imabzzagent

It's party time! My family and I saw Cars 2 the day that it came out. And we loved it! What a great way of continuing the story, but still coming up with a totally different plot for the movie. We thoroughly enjoyed it and were uber excited for Cars 2: The Video Game to come out so we could give that a try too! Lucky for me, I'm a BzzAgent, and was given the opportunity to try out the game, free of charge! Yay me! We were happy to get some friends and family together to give the Cars 2: The Video Game a run for it's money!

Then we continued the fun with a fantastic Mexican fiesta to honor the 'overseas' theme of Cars 2. Delicious!

The game starts out a little tough. One major downfall of the game, right off the bat, is that you can't just play it. You are required to pass driving and trick training before you are granted access to any of the actual races. This was something that made the kids lose interest pretty quickly.

The tricks take a little practice to master, just to move on to the first race. And when you are racing, you drive at a slow pace. The only way to increase your speed is to do tricks. When you perform stunts and trick maneuvers, you earn turbo power that increases your speed. Without earning turbo, there's no way to actually win the race, since everyone else is faster than you. The first couple of levels are fairly easy. You can't run off the track, you just bump off, which is great for the smaller kids. And it doesn't really matter what place you finish in. First place gets you more points towards moving on to the next level. But last place still gives you some points. So you can move on, even if you're not very good. You'll just move at a slower pace.

Another downfall of the game, is that the first couple of levels are a bit dark. It should start out easier to navigate, then get tougher as you complete levels.

To me, this game doesn't compare to the ease and user-friendly racing on MarioKart. This game is definitely tougher and a lot more complicated. It was tough, even for the adults.

On the up side, the game has incredible graphics, detailed and diverse tracks, and you are walked through most of the game, to make sure you know what you are doing.

My main problem with the game, is that you can't just 'free play'. My kids are young enough where they just want the thrill of a racing game, not a training regimen. This one is good for kids (or adults) who are into progressive games. Games that require you to play for days to actually get anywhere. I wish there were a way to just choose a character, and choose a race. No politics...

I found the game tough to follow for the younger kids, for sure (even for me!). The ESRB Rating is 10+ but the average age of the kids at my party were 7 and 8 year olds. They needed a bit of help setting up, and a little help with some of the tricks, but eventually they started to get the hang of it! The younger kids (5 and 6) liked the racing part, but the details of the game, the tricks, and the setup totally eluded them. My recommendation is for kids at least 7 and up. Not Flipping...Somersaulting for Flip Flop Wines! #review

I have a new love. I'm not much of a wine drinker. I enjoy an occasional glass. And I love a good doctored up Sangria. But I've always wanted to open myself up a bit more to the HUGE variety of wines on the market. So when I was approached to review flipflop wines, I jumped at the chance!

And not only was I excited about the wines themselves, but about the company as well. In 2011, flipflop wines and Underdog Wine Merchants are partnering with Soles4Souls to help them achieve their goal of 11 million pairs of shoes donated to barefooted children in need!

I was sent three varieties of flipflop wines to try out. First up was the Pinot Noir.

I chose to purchase the Mild Italian Sausage Links, the Hot Italian Sausage Links, and the Four Cheese Italian Sausage Links. All three were fantastic!

With the Mild Italian Sausage Links, I grilled them and served them as brats. The flavor is mild enough to use in a lot of different recipes, but served just plain was fantastic too!

For the Four Cheese Italian Sausage Links, I fried them, sliced, and served them with peppers and onions for my hubs and I, and just plain for the kids. They were a big hit! It was a meal that took less than 20 minutes, and was a one pan meal. Can't beat the ease and flavor of these links!

And for the Hot Italian Sausage Links, I chopped them and fried them. Then I added diced tomatoes and some Italian seasoning. Then I served it over pasta. Again, everyone loved it! Even the kids! When it says hot, it's not burn-your-tongue-for-three-hours hot. It's just got a little bite. The flavor is full and delicious and could be used in tons of different ways.

I was sent all four to try out. First up, was the Macaroni and Beef. 45 quick seconds in the microwave and we were ready to go! First thing I had an issue with, was removing the plastic cover from the top of the tray, when it was hot. It was very hard to pull back the plastic, and I'm not sure a kid would be able to do it without wearing some of the sauce! The flavor of the Macaroni and Beef was comparable to what you'd find in canned pasta. But the fact that it is in a singles portion is a great perk. My kids and I found this one to be a little too saucy. Not enough noodles, and definitely not enough meat. It was almost like eating a thick soup. My daughter ended up picking the noodles out and eating those, and leaving the sauce. It was definitely not filling that way.

A few more meatballs would've been nice. I think there were about 4 in the whole package. This one is just as flavorful and my kids liked it. Right amount of noodles, right amount of sauce, good flavor, needs more meatballs.

This one had about the right amount of sauce but could've used a few more raviolis. I didn't feel like this one was as filling as the other two. Once again, the flavor is predictable, there was just a touch too much sauce, and could use a few more raviolis to fill up the tray.

And last up, was the Pasta and Chicken. This one is about as far from what my kids enjoy in a canned pasta. It has a white creamy sauce, which right away my kids weren't impressed with. The sauce was pretty flavorless and a little thick and sticky. More chicken would've been great, and maybe more pasta too. Even a few more veggies would've made it better. Not impressed with this one. Hormel, stick to the red sauce that kids have enjoyed for years! So, the verdict? Too much sauce that is bland and too thick, not enough chicken, and not enough veggies.

Overall, the meals are super quick and easy, ready in less than a minute. The flavor is nothing special, about what you'd expect from a canned pasta. I've seen the meals prices anywhere from $1.50 to about $2.00, so it's a little more than what you'd spend in a can. But the convenience of a single serving meal, ready in 45 seconds, is worth the extra pennies! The nutrition values are not something you want to live off of, but a few quick meals are worth the extra calories.

First of all, Silk is a healthier overall choice over milk so I definitely wanted to give it a try. It has no cholesterol & lower saturated fat than dairy milk. It has as much calcium as typical dairy milk. See for yourself, and check out the benefits compared to milk on their site.

BzzAgent and Silk sent me two free product coupons and I had a hard time choosing which two varieties to get, with all the choices available. Just check out all these choices and you tell me you could only choose two!

I ultimately chose Silk Light and Silk Pure Almond Dark Chocolate. Yum!

One thing I did notice right away, is the price. At my local grocery store, Silk was priced at $4.99 for a half gallon. I have to admit that there is absolutely no way that I would pay $9.98 for a gallon of "milk". I see it's on sale this week at the same store for $3.00, but that is still $6.00 a gallon. Not many families on a budget would be able to financially make a complete switch from milk to Silk. But as I found out while experimenting, Silk is great for substituting while cooking and baking, which could be completely within my budget. But I'd still stick with diary milk for cereal and everyday drinking.

First up is the Silk Light. I figured it was the closest thing to dairy milk. I was slightly wrong. The taste is good, but not quite like milk. It tastes a little like watered down milk, with a touch of vanilla. I easily substituted this in recipes with no complaints from my family. I made some homemade macaroni and cheese using the Silk Light and I actually thought it turned out creamier and tastier than with regular milk!

Now this is not the recipe I used, but one I found on the Silk site that looks equally as delicious as mine! Ok, their picture is better, but don't be fooled, mine as super tasty too!

Silk Macaroni & Cheese

A creamy, non-dairy take on a family favorite.

Ingredients

8 ounces elbow macaroni
3 tablespoons margarine
1/4 cup flour
2-3 teaspoons mustard powder, to taste
3 cups Silk Original or Unsweetened soymilk, warmed
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
1/4 teaspoon cayenne powder
pinch of nutmeg
1 1/2 cups soy or rice cheese, divided

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly coat a 2-quart baking dish with cooking spray. Boil macaroni in lightly salted water for 7-8 minutes until just done. Meanwhile, melt 3 tablespoons margarine in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Add flour and mustard and cook for two minutes. Add warm Silk, salt, onion powder, pepper, cayenne and nutmeg. Cook, stirring often until mixture thickens and just comes to a boil, about 5 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in 1 cup of soy cheese. Stir until cheese melts. Add cooked macaroni and stir until evenly combined. Pour into prepared dish and sprinkle with remaining ½ cup of cheese.

Prepare topping. Mix melted margarine with panko crumbs until evenly coated and sprinkle over macaroni and cheese. Bake in preheated oven for 30 minutes. Serve while warm.

Sounds yummy to me!

I also used it in my coffee instead of flavored non-dairy creamer and couldn't hardly tell a difference! It added just a touch of sweetness that dairy milk just doesn't have. However, no one in my family liked just drinking a glass of Silk Light. The flavor is a bit strange and would take a little getting used to. My kids did try it on their cereal and were surprised that the flavor worked so well. It adds just a bit of sweetness and is still creamy enough to make cereal delicious!

Next up was the Silk Pure Almond Dark Chocolate. One word - divine! It is the absolute smoothest, creamiest, most chocolatey, chocolate milk I've ever had!

Silk Pure Almond Dark Chocolate has 50% more calcium than dairy milk and only 120 calories.

As recommended on the Silk site, I tried warming it up for hot chocolate. I think it was almost too creamy to be warm. Felt a little thick going down, but still super sweet and chocolatey! AND it still has less calories than typical dairy milk! I couldn't find any recipes on their site using the Dark Chocolate but I'm sure you could get pretty creative!

I have to admit, I was surprised that I actually liked Silk as much as I did. You hear 'soy milk' and you think FAKE milk, right? I did! Fake milk that can't even compare to rich, creamy diary milk. Boy was I wrong. I was pretty happy with the two products I chose to try out, but I'd love to be able to give all of the 17 varieties. Silk, you've made me a believer! My only issue is the price. If it were a little closer to the price of dairy milk, I guarantee TONS of consumers would be jumping on the Silk bandwagon!

First off, I tried the Therabreath Toothpaste. If I'm being honest, I wasn't impressed with the cleaning power of this paste. I would brush in the morning, and by the end of the day, my teeth were feeling a little grungy. However, even though my teeth felt not-so-fresh, my breath still was! The germ killing power of the paste is undeniable. If you are going to use this as your regular paste, and want to make sure your teeth stay smooth and clean, I'd recommend brushing 3 times a day. My one other complaint, is the larger size of the container. It's a little hard to squeeze and hard to get the paste from the end of the bottle. Other than that, this stuff is fantastic! The paste is smooth and creamy, not gritty. And the minty flavor is very mild yet still refreshing.

TheraBreath Oral Rinse

Next up was the TheraBreath Oral Rinse. I like the fact that the rinse is a very mild mint. I don't like feeling like I'm burning off a layer of skin, just to kill germs. I think this would be great for older kids and teens as well. And it left my mouth feeling fresh and clean, without an overpowering mint flavor. And even when the mint wore off, my breath was still incredibly fresh! And what's cool is the bottle comes with a snap-on cup for easy rinsing. You just pop the cup off of the cover, pour in your desired amount, and store it back on the bottle when you're done. My only complaint with the Oral Rinse, is that it feels like you are rinsing with water. I, psychologically, felt like it wasn't working because I couldn't taste it much, and it didn't bubble or foam or anything. Like rinsing with water. Now, this may just take some getting used to, but I sort of missed my sizzling, bubbly mouthwash. Maybe if the mint was just a touch stronger, it would feel better to me. But don't get me wrong, I still love this stuff!

HTC Surround with Windows Phone 7 review #imabzzagent

It has been about 6 weeks since I received the HTC Surround for review from BzzAgent and I have given it a full run for it's money!

This gadget is one of the sleekest and most technologically advanced new phones on the market. But being a new OS and a totally new design, it definitely has it's faults. And I have a few beefs with it. The last 6 weeks have been a love-hate relationship with my new phone.

I went from a Samsung Eternity to this new windows based HTC Surround. It's like comparing a newspaper to an iPad. The OS is fast and reliable. The system never seized up on me and I never once felt that it was sluggish or couldn't handle the system with it's 1GHz processing speed. I've taken pics and added games,apps and music without trouble.

The HTC HUB has apps that are specifically designed to work best on your Surround. One thing I'm not sure about, is how to find out how much memory you've used, and how much you have left. It has 16GB internal memory but, as of right now, the HTC Surround lacks an expandable memory. It would be nice to know if Angry Birds and my rockin Bon Jovi collection will fit!

One problem I had, twice, was that I lost all sound. No ringtone, no alerts, and the person calling me couldn't hear me, but I could hear them. Not sure if this is an OS issue or just a glitch. I had to remove the battery and restart the phone and everything worked fine again.

Something I found a little annoying, was that when I plugged in my SIM card, only about half of my contacts showed up, so I had to add some manually. Then, when I added Facebook, my friend list was automatically added to my contact list. I don't know about you, but I don't need all of my Facebook friends in my phone book.

But one cool thing is you can link your Facebook contact with their phone number and their email, so you have all the info in one place! And it uses their Facebook profile pic as your contact photo. Pretty cool!

And something I learned the hard way, is to NEVER put your SIM card in your new smartphone without contacting your service provider to upgrade to a smartphone plan. And I had $98.00 in charges in 12 hours to prove it! What happened was, I got my new phone in the mail, and was super excited to play with it. So I charged it up, put my SIM card in and proceeded to play around. I figured that since I didn't have a smartphone plan initially, I could just run off of my home wireless. Boy was I wrong! Instead of connecting to my wireless, I was technically 'roaming' when I was playing online and setting up my phone. The next morning, I got a text from ATT saying that they noticed I had a new smartphone and upgraded my plan automatically. Then about an hour later, I got another text saying that I had exceeded $50 in charges for that day. I, of course, panicked and called ATT immediately. They told me that I had incurred $98.00 in charges in the time that I plugged in my SIM card, to the time when they automatically added the smartphone plan to my account. Literally, 12 hours. $98.00. I couldn't believe it! I explained what had happened, and ATT was more than happy to credit back the charges. They were understanding and, luckily, didn't give me any trouble.

Kudos to ATT for their great customer service!

The HTC Surround is super easy to navigate and is totally customizable. It works like an iPad with flick, pinch, and zoom features. With this high tech touch screen, you are able to use multiple features at once. You can send or receive a text while you are on the phone. Check your email while listening to music. Or conference multiple contacts on one call. Nothing cooler than surfing the web while you're on hold! But this multitasking feature can also be a hindrance. I found that when I was talking on the phone, sometimes I'd be calling someone else or searching the web with my cheek. The equivalent to butt dialing that I like to call 'cheek dialing'. After a while, I learned to lock the screen after answering a call!

One more WAY cool feature is voice dialing. You can say a contact and the phone dials it for you. Great for dialing and driving!

The HTC Surround also boasts "hands-in-the-air" fun with it's built in slide out speaker and kickstand. Even though the HTC Surround claims to give a full "surround sound" experience with it's built in Sound Enhancer, it's still a phone. The sound left something to be desired, and the slide out adds a good amount of thickness to the phone that I don't think it needs. And since this is the phones only speaker, any sound is muffled unless the slider is out.

The camera in the HTC Surround is pretty high tech. The camera features:
* 5 megapixel color camera
* Auto focus and flash
* 720p HD video recording
* Built-in scenes include candlelight, landscape, and portrait match the environment of your subject

The camera works great! I didn't have any trouble taking great pics, then sending them to other contacts or posting them to Facebook. One downfall is that it lacks an anti-shake mode, which means a lot of my pics turned out a little blurry, since my hand isn't always so steady!

The HTC Surround also has plenty of preloaded ring tones and sounds. You can customized sounds for new emails, new texts, voice mails, and other notifications. One thing I couldn't figure out was how to set your phone to alert multiple times. When I receive a text, it alerts once. That's it. If I don't hear it the first time, I'm out of luck! I've searched for an answer online but came up empty handed.

One other issue I've had is battery life. When surfing the web, emailing or texting, the battery dies down pretty quickly. If I use my phone regularly throughout the day, it's almost dead by the time I plug it in at night. If you are using your phone quite a bit, expect to have to give it a little juice to make it through the day.

So lets break it down.

PROS:

-fast surfing with the 1GHz processor
-16GB internal memory
-super sensitive 3.8" touch screen with pinch to zoom capability
-ability to multitask
-slide out speaker and kickstand with Surround Enhancer
-5 mega pixel camera
-preloaded ringtones and sounds with HTC Hub for customized apps and games
-non slip back
-browsing in both portrait and landscape

CONS:

-slide out speaker makes phone a little clunky
-"cheek dialing"
-short battery life when using smartphone features
-speaker has to be slid out, or any sound will be muffled
-integration of contacts - EVERY contact pulling into your phone book

Overall, my previous phone has NOTHING on all the cool multimedia features of the HTC Surround. I love having the web, email, Facebook, Twitter, games, music and more all at the touch of a finger. I was appalled at how expensive surfing the web is without the right plan, but with smartphone plans starting at just $15 a month, ATT's got you covered. I am excited with my HTC Surround and I can safely say no other phone that I've ever had can compare to it's quality and user friendly features. And I will never go back!

One of the perks of being a BzzAgent is getting to check out some really cool, new products. As an organizationally challenged business owner, I was over-the-top excited about trying the DYMO LabelManager 260P.

It's tax time and organization time. I usually sit down with my file boxes and re-label all the files I've moved around or don't need anymore, or replace labels that fell off since last year. This year, I used my DYMO LabelManager 260P to put an end to the madness! I've replaced all of my slide-in-the-cardboard tabs, with easy to apply, and easy to remove DYMO labels! Hopefully I never need to replace them! But if I do, they come off easy with no residue. I feel so organized!

I love the fact that it is rechargeable. And with the long lasting lithium-ion battery, I've use this about 30 times without having to charge it at all! The company claims you can print up to two label cassettes on a single charge, and I believe it!

Another great feature is that there is no ink to buy! Yep, you heard right! The gadget has built in thermal technology for ink and toner free printing! Now that's frugal!

I labeled tons of stuff in my house from file folder and office boxes, tupperware and spices, to goody bags for my daughters birthday! I love just about everything about the DYMO LabelManager 260P. My only complaint is that the keyboard is ABC and not QWERTY. I am a girl living deep in 2K technology, who lives for texting, tweeting, Facebook, emailing, and instant messaging. This gadget fits perfectly in both hands so you can type with your thumbs. But with an ABC keyboard, I'm reverting back to my kindergarten alphabet! My eyes don't know where the letters are on a keyboard, my fingers do. And my fingers were totally lost!

Brush up on those Math skills with FactorTree!

I am a BzzAgent. And as a BzzAgent, I had the opportunity to try out The Factor Tree.

The Factor Tree is a place where students from Kindergarten to 6th Grade can practice the math skills they learn in school every day! And parents are able to check in on the progress of their child, with test results on their homepage!

My daughter is in 2nd grade and she struggles with math. This is a great tool for her to practice some of the skills that need some work, without having the pressure of a timed test, or the distractions of a crazy 2nd grade classroom.

There are tons of things I love about this site, but there are some things I don't like too. Let's start with signing up. In a few clicks, we were signed up and ready to start. It was a little confusing, at first, because in order to have my daughter start testing, I had to log out of my user account, and log in with hers. I won't tell you how long it took me to figure this out, but I was pretty peeved! :)

After figuring that out, we logged out and logged back in with her unique user name and password. You can set up however many children you want, and they all have separate user names and passwords, so there's no competition to do as well or better than your siblings!

After logging in my daughters account, the main page was a start button.

Simple enough.

Then we proceeded to answer the 20 question test (it keeps track of your progress for you). The questions ranged from choosing the correct name for a rectangle, to greater than(>) and less than (<), and adding double digits. There was even some adding of currency.

I found some of the questions to be WAY beyond my second grader, and others to be so simple a preschooler could answer them. There is a HINT button to help you though the tougher questions.

The test itself is pretty easy to navigate. However, instead of giving a 2nd grader a lesson in running the keyboard to figure out how to type the < sign (which is Shift + < ), there should be more kid friendly options, like having to click the correct symbol on the screen. She made it through all of the questions and was a little bummed that you had to hit a back button in order to see whether you got them right or not. She wanted to see when she got something wrong. Now it was my turn. We logged back out of her account, and logged back into mine (pain!). I went to her progress report and was not only able to see the amount of time it took her, and her test score, I could actually go into the test itself and see which problems she got wrong. We went through the test together, finding a lot of smiling happy faces, and a few red sad faces. We were able to discuss which questions she got wrong, and what she needed to change to get them right. It was a great tool!

Overall, I love the concept of the site. Letting your child practice at their own pace, and being able to track their progress is very beneficial as a parent. Especially as a parent of a child struggling with math. I think the site could use a little work, though. Logging in and logging out is a huge pain in the behind. And your child not being able to see when they do something wrong is kind of a bummer. I'd love for the test to tell her when she's done something wrong, and maybe walk her through how to do it correctly. And I'd also like to see a more kid friendly test that doesn't require them to waste time searching all over the keyboard.

Another downside, $20 a month for a subscription. Really, something like this I'd expect to be more like $5 a month. But if your child is truly struggling in math, this is a great place for them to catch up to the rest of their class. And $20 a month is a small price to pay for that peace of mind, I guess.

I was with the 11th Armored Division, 41st Cavalr Reconnaissance, in Europe, and being the first on the scene was probably the only GI to actually witness the unelaborated death camps while they still were in full operation.

A little while back, I ordered a Highland Feather Down Touch Feather Bed for my son.

He is a tosser at night and I figured it had to be his mattress. Since we can't afford to replace his mattress every time he doesn't sleep well, we decided on the feather bed option.
